Changing the perception of a place with a troubled past

This project was a pitch for a Lovell, it involved creating a video to change the perception of an area of London called Woolwich. It would serve as a crucial part of the pitch and show the potential client how we could motivate buyers to buy property in their new development. The biggest challenge was the bad reputation Woolwich has had over the past years, it’s been considered a troubled area that was in the spotlight in 2013 due to the murder of a soldier called Lee Rigby. The objective was to portray Woolwich as an area that’s vibrant, culturally rich, well connected with London and with a bright future.

I created a story line that would take the viewer on a journey starting in Greenwich going towards Woolwich then back into central London and finishing in Woolwich. It would be a journey that would cover most of the angles needed for a concise yet free flowing narrative. The video was an absolute success and it played a crucial role in wining a mayor pitch for the agency I work in.
